Ryan knew from an early age that he wanted to go into the accounting profession, after he realized that his accounting classes in college were the first time he actually studied and enjoyed doing so. He has been in the public accounting industry for more than two decades, and most recently was a partner at Thomas & Johnston for 14 years in Ketchum, Idaho, prior to merging with Harris CPAs. He specializes in S corporation and partnerships entities, high net worth individuals and the restaurant industry. Ryan enjoys helping his clients with bookkeeping issues in Quickbooks, solving complex asset sales, finding tax saving opportunities, researching unique tax situations, such as the sale of a business, and working on complex entity returns. What he enjoys most about his job is seeing is being part of his client’s success.

While out of the office, Ryan can be found in the outdoors either hiking, biking or backpacking. More than anything, he enjoys spending time with his family; his wife Meghan and their two young boys Hudson and Renan. He grew up playing basketball, cross country and track, and that athleticism has carried into adulthood; Ryan is proud to say that he completed a half iron man and the Chicago marathon with just over a 6 minute pace.
