Matthew Sweet

Staff Accountant

Matthew Sweet’s love for accounting first sparked while taking accounting classes in college, and his enthusiasm for forensic accounting and numerical puzzles has steadily grown ever since. After graduating with a degree in Business from the University of San Francisco, Matthew spent time developing his technical toolbox before jumpstarting his accounting career as a Client Liaison at Jack Trent and Co. CPAs and a Staff Accountant at Ashmead and Associates. As a Staff Accountant at Harris, Matthew’s impeccable problem-solving skills, team-oriented spirit, and fervent dedication to personal and professional growth make him a valuable addition to the firm’s tax and audit teams.

Growing up in San Diego, California, Matthew played just about every sport imaginable, including track and field, football, and Division 1 rugby at the University of San Francisco. In addition to loving most outdoor sports and activities, Matthew enjoys woodworking, is a published author, and hopes to one day accomplish his bucket list goal of completing a solo HALO jump (also known as an MFF, Military Free Fall). Matthew and his high school sweetheart, Lila, have been together for 20 years and together share a son and daughter.
