Jama’s passion for problem-solving and aptitude for numbers is apparent in almost every facet of her life. Looking to foster her love for mathematical challenges, she earned her AA from the College of Southern Idaho and completed her Bachelor degree in Accounting from Boise State University. While attending university, she kickstarted her career as a Tax Preparer for Jackson Hewitt and served as a volunteer tax preparer for low-income and elderly tax filers through the AARP. Her more than two decades of subsequent professional experience include tax preparation, bookkeeping, and administration for various industries, including healthcare, automotive, and nonprofits. 

 

Native to Idaho, Jama was born and raised in the Magic Valley. In addition to serving as a Board Member for the City of Filer’s Parks and Recreation department, she volunteers for various youth sports organizations and often lends her expertise as a stats and scorekeeper for local baseball, basketball, and wrestling teams. When she isn’t volunteering or working toward obtaining her CPA license, she loves spending time with her husband and three sons.
