rYan Beard

Staff Accountant

Ryan was always fascinated by numbers from an early age, with math being his favorite subject growing up, which led to a calling to a career in either business or finance. Prior to joining the Harris team, Ryan spent the last three years at a large regional firm where he gained experience working on both individual and business tax. He specializes in business returns with multiple entities, working from the top of the entity down, and finding the best tax strategy and position for each, no matter the size. He has experience working with half a billion dollar multi-state entities, with foreign-held investments and subsidiaries, as well as those with thousands of assets and consolidated returns. At Harris, Ryan brings a positive attitude each day, and is a valuable asset to the firm’s most complex tax clients.

As a collegiate athlete, Ryan knows what being a crucial member of team is like. Growing up in Meridian, Idaho, he was the Scholastic Student Athlete of the Year at Rocky Mountain Highschool for baseball. He then took his talents to the College of Southern Idaho where he was the Region 18 Pitcher of Year. Transferring to Purdue shortly after to continue his collegiate career, he is proud to say his team made a Big Ten Tournament Championship appearance. Outside of baseball you can find Ryan playing the drums, rooting on his favorite Atlanta sports teams (Braves, Falcons, Hawks), or skiing, hoping to take on the Swiss Alps in the near future.
