Instinctually motivated by the success of his clients, Michael’s 30 years in the industry have been spent helping businesses reach their goals with strategic tax planning and preparation. Michael specializes in working with business owners from a broad range of industries to navigate every stage of their business lifecycle. Whether a startup business or an established enterprise, his expertise ranges from helping with Quickbooks setup and assistance with tax entity selections, to communicating complex tax issues and implementing long-lasting strategies that foster growth and success within every business he serves. No matter the size of client, Michael’s true passion is being an extension of his client’s business and helping them meet their goals and succeed. 

 

After receiving his BBA from Ohio University, Michael jumpstarted his accounting career at a small public accounting firm in Ohio, quickly working his way to manager. Following his move to Idaho, Michael spent 14 years as a Tax Manager and shareholder at HH & Associates before it merged with Harris CPAs in 2022. Michael enjoys giving back to the community and spent 5 years volunteering his time to teach accounting and tax workshops to emerging businesses through SCORE Treasure Valley.

 

Since his high school days running cross country and track in central Ohio, Michael has been an avid runner and athlete. In fact, he has competed in half marathons in more than 35 states and is actively pursuing his goal of running a half marathon in every state across the country. When he isn’t training for his next big run, Michael can be found cheering for his beloved Ohio State Buckeyes, cycling, racing in triathlons, skiing and spending time with his wife, Julie.
