Quick-witted and eager to learn, Melissa graduated from Boise State University in 2023 and promptly put her BBA in Accounting to practice. While simultaneously interning at Harris and earning her degree, Melissa served as a tutor for various accounting subjects and volunteered to help community members file income tax returns. Already a master of 990 returns and nonprofits, she is poised to build her technical foundation and expand her accounting career as a full-time Staff Accountant at Harris.
As a Boise native, Melissa grew up passionate for the outdoors. When she isn’t studying for the CPA exam, she finds refuge in swimming, paddle boarding, hiking, and exploring the natural beauty of Idaho and the Pacific Northwest. Although she ultimately chose to pursue a professional career in accounting, she still enjoys gardening and putting her first degree in Horticulture to proper use in the yard.
