Blending a robust educational and professional background in accounting, Matt specializes in tax planning and compliance for clients ranging from individuals and trusts to business entities in the manufacturing, service, and retail industries. He began his professional career at Deloitte, mastering workflow management and galvanizing his technical foundation of multi-state and federal taxation. Well-versed and knowledgeable in all aspects of general tax and accounting, Matt’s expertise is in helping partnerships, corporations, and Up-C structures with tax planning and compliance in a world of ever-evolving legislation and regulations. His vast technical experience and logical nature have led him to become a trusted collaborator and mentor to his clients, staff, and peers at Harris.

Matt was born and raised in Twin Falls, Idaho, where he swam and played water polo for his high school team. After meeting his wife on the Boise State water polo club team, they developed a mutual passion for travel and share a goal of traveling to as many countries as possible in their lifetime. When he isn’t helping clients or planning his next great adventure abroad, Matt enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends and volunteering with various philanthropic organizations in the community.
