Lori Johnston, CPA

Partner

Lori Johnston knew that working with numbers was an aptitude she was well suited for at a young age. She has been involved in maintaining the books and records for every business she has ever worked at starting in middle school. She now has over 30 years’ experience providing tax services to high net worth individuals and businesses in a variety of industries. Her specialties lie in real estate investment partnerships, and multi-state entities, tax planning, and assisting small business in their growth plans. For Lori, accounting is all about helping her clients take advantage of opportunity. Recently, Lori has been involved in helping a few clients sell their business and finds it interesting, yet challenging, as she helps her clients navigate the opposing end goals of a purchase and sale.
Born and raised in Burley, Idaho, Lori has quite the athletic and adventurous upbringing. A competitor at heart, she was a member of the Weber State College 1982 AIAW Div II National Championship Golf Team, and had the honor of being a 1982 College All American. These days, you can find her on the ice rink playing hockey, a venture she started at the age of 50, or on the trails either hiking or mountain biking. When she’s off the ice you can find her rooting for her favorite teams; Denver Broncos, Colorado Avalanche and Washington Capitals or planning her next travelling adventure. She recently visited Scotland, and looks forward to checking off a few more bucket list trips each year. Lori has two children, Nick and Megan.
