Alison Suko, CPA
Manager
Harris clients benefit from the extensive tax and accounting expertise Alison has gained during her 25 years in the industry. She’s served as CPA and controller at several small and mid-sized firms, preparing compilations, reviews, audits and business valuations as well as tax preparation for individuals, trusts, nonprofit organizations, and multistate corporations and partnerships. Much of Alison’s work prior to Harris centered around the construction and automotive industries, including implementation of the Autosoft platform for large dealerships. She is also a QuickBooks expert, having helped countless organizations set up and customize the software. At Harris, Alison specializes in tax preparation for a variety of industries and researching and resolving tax issues—the more complex, the better. She is currently working toward her Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) credential to further hone her valuation skills.
Alison loved brain teasers and numbers from an early age; she particularly recalls those “special times” when she’d get to compile her mom’s classroom book orders and verify the cash deposit. Her older brother is also a CPA, and people often teased Alison’s parents for raising not just one, but two, math nerds. She grew up in Minnesota, attended college and lived in North Dakota, then moved to Coeur d’Alene just weeks after falling in love with the town while driving through for a wedding. Alison is an avid reader and a fan of Gonzaga men’s and women’s basketball and Minnesota Gophers women’s volleyball. She’s been married to her husband Scott for 20 years, and they have a blended family with four children, the youngest of whom is in college.
