Our community matters.
There’s a reason why Harris chose community service as a key philosophy of our firm. Simply put, it’s our community too. One that we cherish. Some of us have grown up here, and choose to remain in this place that we love. Some of us have moved here, carefully selecting this particular area—the Treasure Valley—to enjoy our lives and raise our families. This is where we live, where we work, and where we play. We believe in this community, and we work hard to improve the quality of life for those individuals and businesses who live here with us.
To us it’s personal, which is why you will find so many members of our firm serving the community. As a firm, we support local not-for-profit businesses with the Harris Helping Hands program, but beyond that we are board members and philanthropists and volunteers. We use our expertise and passion to make a difference—to bring value to others. Our thoughts and attentions, our care and focus, and our time and energy all belong to you; and we believe that is how it should be.
To that end, Harris provides pro-bono accounting services to in-need nonprofits each summer through our Helping Hands grant program.
To date, we’ve donated 1,908 hours of accounting services to the nonprofit community through the Helping Hands Grant since 2006.
And we don’t stop there. Official company business includes volunteering together on-site to aid causes that address poverty and homelessness, support the arts, and more. You’ll see us sorting boxes at the Idaho Foodbank, cleaning toys at the Women’s and Children’s Alliance, and picking up the grounds at Idaho Shakespeare Festival performances.
Harris is also proud to sponsor many organizations and events, including:
- Idaho Statewide Nonprofit Conference
- Small Business and Nonprofit of the Year Luncheon
- Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce Leadership Conference
- Associated General Contractors Annual Golf Tournament
- Ameriben Annual Management Conference
- American Council of Engineering Companies of Idaho Annual
Conference and Meeting
